Description:
A beautiful very fine twenty pesos remainder banknote issued by "El Banco De Tamaulipas" in Mexico. This is the March 31, 1914 issue series G banknote. The banknote, which represents an unsigned remainder, is printed in black over a light green background. The front depicts the image of a moving train with mountains in the background flanked by the denomination with the name of the bank on top and the date to the left near the bottom. The front also displays the denomination and no signatures. The front also indicates that it was issued in Tampico. The back has the same color scheme as the front and has the image of two dogs at the edge of a lake with a man in a boat on the lake in the middle within a circle flanked by the denomination. The back also has a brown circular treasury stamp in the top right corner and a green stamp saying 2 Cent in the top left corner. This particular note has the serial number 4785 printed in red twice on the front but not on the back. A nice note to add to your collection. Condition:
I would grade this note as very fine with its detailed being well preserved. The note is soiled but still retains some of its stiffness and crispiness. The note is intact with no tears, no splits, no graffiti, and no pinholes. The note has some stain mostly red and to a lesser extent some small brown stains on the front and brown stains on the back. It has vertical folds, one horizontal fold and general light wrinkling throughout. Its edges have minor roughness and minor nicks. The corners are intact but have some rounding and bumps, especially the bottom corners. A nice fairly scarce note in very fine condition to add to your collection.
