A beautiful choice very fine or better Banknote from the State of Oaxaca in Mexico. This is the note dated 10 August 1915 conforms to decree No 25 of July 10, 1915. It is a one peso currency note which in our opinion is a choice very fine or much better. The front of the note is yellow in color and has the image of a lady's head wearing a wreath in a circle to the left. The writing on the front is in green and red and the note has a zigzagged green border. The back shows a large portrait of Pablo Benito Juarez (President of Mexico at the time and a native of Oaxaca) in green and white over a pale yellow background with additional writing in green and a red seal. The back has a red zigzagged border. This particular note has the serial number 621227 on the front twice in red and does not display the serial number on the back. It is series "P" and has two signatures displayed on the front but has no water mark that we could find. Please carefully review the scans presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

I would grade the banknote as choice very fine or much better. The note is lightly soiled with a few light stains especially on the back along the top edge. The note has two light vertical folds but other than that the note has no tears or splits. The note is of stiff and heavy paper and retains its stiffness. The corners are intact and squared with minimum rounding if any. The note has no pinholes, no repairs and no graffiti. Just a beautiful banknote to add to your collection.
