    Description

    Up for bids is a crisp, attractive, uncirculated Mexico 5 Peso note from “El Banco Peninsular Mexicano”. Dated April 1st 1914. Series A. Serial number 272087. Bright red overprints. I cannot detect any folds. Same size as a U.S. dollar bill (See photo). Generous margins. Printed in New York by the American Bank Note Company, the same company that printed many of the early U.S. currency issues during the Civil War, before the establishment of the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing.
