Condition
The second photo with 18 banknotes are the banknotes offered. The notes are in UNC uncirculated condition.
As with many modern notes, these notes have a security thread that may show some bubbling, or a dimple, at the top of the note at the strip. In the printing process, when the notes are run through high speed counters, a dimple is created where the strip is on the top of the note. This does not disqualify the note as UNC.
Description
The 500-peso note is the first denomination in a new family of banknotes with improved security features and designs representing Mexico’s historical and natural heritage. The front depicts Benito Juárez, while the back shows gray whales in the Biosphere Reserve of El Vizcaíno in Baja California Sur.
This note won the Best Banknote Award at the High Security Printing Latin America Conference in 2019.
