    This is a very nice,
    "Viente"
    or 20 Pesos note from
    "El Banco de Mexico".
    It is dated July 18, 1973.
    It pictures the Roman Catholic priest José María Morelos, he was the revolutionary rebel leader who led the Mexican War of Independence. He was captured by the Spanish and executed in 1815.

    Morelos was the first to call for independence from the Spanish Monarchy. He struck the very first coins from
    "Mexico"
    as opposed to the many colonial coins struck for
    "New Spain"
    . The bow and arrow and the word SUD or south appeared on the coins.

    The Note:
    A very lightly used note. It has been bent in the center vertically but not creased. It has no edge or body tears and no pinholes. Still bright, clean and quite crisp. As grading is subjective please see the pictures and judge for yourself.
