MEXICO LOTTERY 8 TICKETS 13 Aug 1878 Hospital de San Pedro de Puebla EXPIRED! REDEEMED!  PpdUS
Slightly circulated and torn at lower left edge with a piece missing as these were glued into a book of record on redemption, winning tickets were stamped PAGADO which means "paid". So it was turned in and cash was paid to holders for these winning ticket, this lottery was for the benefit of the patients at the San Pedro de Puebla Hospital. They are printed on very thin paper which is why you can see the reversed PAGADO stamps on the back. It is a block of EIGHT tickets sold for 1/2 peso each so this page of 8 tickets sold for 4 Pesos and the Peso was probably on par with the US Dollar. The Mexican Peso coin actually had more silver in it than the US Silver Dollar coin!
Measures about 6-3/4" by 9"; printed on very thin paper.
This is an old lottery ticket and has no "Chance" value as it expired and was redeemed many years ago.
This is being sold as a historical item and not for gambling purposes. Please don't email me about illegal lottery tickets sales as this has one expired a long time ago.
