  • Condition: A Railroad Company Stock Cert. in VF condition and dated 1902 issued by "Compania de Tranvias de Chihuahua", 10 (ten) shares; this document in VF condition with some signs of handling, a two inch tear in the right border, hard to see, no coupon page, a One Peso black printed revenue stamp at the document bottom center with cancellation . The document is about 13" by 10.5" and has no coupons. Most of it is printed in black with frame in light green, The back has nothing but the signature of the owner when transferred. It is that of MIGUEL AHUMADA who was Governor of the State of Chihuahua at the time. He was a well-known popular politician (retired military hero having fought in battles with the Mexican Army). There is also a stamp at the lower left corner declaring that the divident for 1906 had been paid. Therefore this is a Transportation/Railroad related stock certificate.

    A Railroad Company Stock Cert. in VF condition and dated 1902 issued by "Compania de Tranvias de Chihuahua", 10 (ten) shares; this document in VF condition with some signs of handling, a two inch tear in the right border and two smaller ones at the top center, hard to see; no coupon page, a One Peso black printed revenue stamp at the document bottom center with cancellation . The document is about 13" by 10.5" and has no coupons. Most of it is printed in black with frame in light green. See enlarged image of steam engine. The printer's name is not present on the document. The back has nothing but the signature of the owner when transferred and it is that of MIGUEL AHUMADA who was Governor of the State of Chihuahua at the time. He was a well-known popular politician (retired military hero having fought in several battles with the Mexican Army and held the rank of Colonel). There is also a stamp at the lower left corner declaring that the dividend for 1906 had been paid. Therefore this is a Transportation/Railroad related stock certificate with a well-known politician and businessman's signature.
