    Description
    This is a veteran, circulated,
    "Diez"
    or 10 Pesos
    note from Mexico. It is dated April 24, 1963. The notes with that date used Series AIE to AIT and were superseded by notes dated February 17, 1965.
    This long enduring type was first issued in 1937. They were released again and again with minor changes and later dates each time until this design finally ended with the May 10, 1967 issue.

    won a regional costume contest in 1936 and so impressed the President of Mexico that he sent her picture to the American Bank Note Company. She was never compensated and when asked about it she replied with a smile,
    “No woman has ever been in the hands of so many men like me".
